The following has a lot of useful information on scanning documents via Email or OneDrive on the new printers.
Please take some time to read over the below information and attachments.
At the end of this email and attached, you will find helpful guides on how to use these two options.
Common questions received about these options:
What option should I choose?
The email option is best used for small scans, to give a rule of thumb, if your scanning more than 20-30 pages it’s best to use the OneDrive option.
Where does my scan go when I select OneDrive?
The scan automatically goes to your OneDrive. There are a few ways to access your One drive folder.
The OneDrive can be setup on your laptop like a network drive; accessed via an internet browser or downloaded via a link sent to your email.
Access via Email Link: When you use the OneDrive option, you should receive an email from the scanning system. This provides you the details of your scan and a direct download link.
Access via the Internet Browser- Open Chrome or your favourite internet browser. Go to Office.com. Use your school login details (Email & Password). Be sure to select “Work or school account”.
When logged in you’ll see app icons on the left hand side. The OneDrive icon is a blue cloud. After clicking the cloud you will be taken to your OneDrive folder, Open the “Apps” folder then “Scans from papercut” folder. You should now be able to see your scanned items. You can now organise, share or download for editing. Etc.
Via OneDrive Folder sync. (As seen below).
Some may already have this setup; If not and you would like to have this option setup for you; please request this setup by sending an email to [email protected]
Alternatively you can set this up for yourself; keep an eye open for a helpful guide on how this is done. This will be sent to everyone soon.
This OneDrive folder syncs automatically and you can use this as you would with any folder or network location.
